A young woman was found at the riverbanks, soaked to the bones but breathing, alive. She was brought to the local doctor, her condition stabilized. When she woke, she told the townsfolk her name was Elissa, that she had been sent by God to cure them of their ailments. She told them she could not lie, yet she did so, and out of her lies grew something sinister, an imposter who brought sickness with her.

Elissa could not save the town, and so she burned it to the ground to contain what had been unleashed. Yet it clung to her, sickness and death, and she brought it with her wherever she went.

The devoted stands roughly 1,68 centimeters with boots on. Her body is weak, not built for physical strength. At first glance she seems extremely ordinary, though upon closer inspection, something is off about her. Some say it is divinity, others that she is cursed. The truth, however, is not so tangible.

Her jaw and chin are strong and defined, cheekbones set a bit too high on her face, making her look hallowed. The devoted's eyes have an unremarkable color of mudded blues and greens, though her gaze is piercing. Nose long and narrow, lips thin and cracked. If she has hair, it is hidden under her beanie. Her eyebrows and lashes are gone.

The Devoted believes herself to be without flaw and without equal. Each misdeed done by her is contributed to her twin sister and who could blame her? Her sister nothing more than a cheat at best and a murderer at worst.
